Some alloy wheels can be prone corrosion over time, there’s a number of ways to treat this. Some companies will ‘sand blast’ wheels or ‘shot blast’ them to remove all the paint and also remove the corrosion that has built up.  

We think this is a bit of a rough approach and have invested in our new Acid Stripping tank and Powder Coating service. It allows us to offer alloy wheel repairs that bring your wheels back to the way they looked when they first rolled out of the showroom.

We give your alloy wheels an Acid bath, in our purpose-built alloy wheel refurbishment centre, this technique removes all the corrosion, existing coating and takes the wheel back to its raw form.

We use very strong Acid in this process and it removes everything but the base of the alloy wheel. The wheels are then vapour blasted to remove any contaminants. After this is completed, the wheels get placed into our purpose-built oven and heated to enable us to move onto the next phase of wheel repair.

We now cover the wheels with powder primer and bake the wheels again, we then check for any defects before moving on to the powder finishing process this is where any colour change will happen before the final power clear coat is applied. 

After this has been completed, it will then be placed back in the oven for its final bake.
